Bentley has released images of their brand new concept car – the Bentley Grand Convertible ahead of its display at the 2014 L.A. Motor Show. Based on the Muslanne the elegant Grand Convertible is intended to express the British luxury brands intentions for the future.
Images released show the stunning convertible in a Sequin Blue bespoke colour that was created from a single sequin from a Bentley customer’s haute couture gown. Inside the cabin has been hand crafted with tanned leather seats and diamond quilting. The Grand Convertible has the same 6.75-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the flagship Muslanne offering an effortless drive in unparalleled style.
The Grand Convertible will be shown at the L.A motor show from the 19th November before it travels to Miami to be shown at the Art Basel show. Bentley want to gauge customers response to the car before deciding if it will be made for the road, if so it will be a highly exclusive and extremely limited collector edition.
Chairman and CEO of Bentley Wolfgang Durheimer who unveiled the Grand Convertible Concept said of the latest creation: “This concept demonstrates Bentley’s ability to create a pinnacle convertible Grand Tourer, while embodying elegance beyond compare. With this car we combine opulent Muslanne experience with the full sensory indulgence of open-air touring, continuing to unite luxury performance in new ways”.
