Chrysler celebrates 30 years of the Grand Voyage
30th June 2014
2014 marks the 30th anniversary of Chrysler’s iconic Grand Voyager. The American marque is celebrating three decades this year since the iconic MPV was first conceived for the UK market, and three decades of class-leading MPV innovation
Inspired by direct predecessor models the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager, sold by Chrysler in the USA, the model was first released in the UK in 1988. The early models have a strong following, and this success was repeated in the UK, with a loyal following of MPV enthusiasts showing a strong affection for
the model throughout its production life in the UK.
Over its lifespan, the Grand Voyager has sold over 13 million units worldwide and received 260 awards, making it part of the best-selling family of MPVs ever.
The Grand Voyager in its current incarnation transports up to seven adults in supreme comfort and features cutting-edge driver assistance technology that makes driving a larger vehicle a breeze. These include a Blind Spot Monitoring system that tracks difficult to view side areas and alerts the driver to any dangers. Meanwhile, dual power sliding doors are fitted as standard to make every day practicalities even easier in this excellent MPV.
