Kia's Sport pro_cee'd 3-door hatchback has become even sportier, with the addition of a high-powered GT model in the summer of 2013.
The styling of the car gives it a decidedly menacing look. Narrow, vicious headlights are accompanied by a leering black mesh grille, flanked by clusters of LED daytime running lights. Deep side strakes, black-line mirror casings, body stripes, and 18" alloy wheels.
Inside, the racing spirit of the GT is stressed with a sports steering wheel, alloy control pedals and "bucket" sports seats made from Recaro leather. A height- and reach-adjustable steering column makes it easy to find your ideal driving position.
A 1.6 litre, direct-injection petrol engine powers the pro_cee'd GT – and it offers quite some power too, with a maximum output of 201bhp and peak torque of 265Nm between 1750-4500rpm. Allied to the smooth six-gear manual transmission, this assures smooth and instantaneous power delivery in urban areas, winding country roads and motorways. 0-62mph acceleration is under eight seconds, and the top speed goes all the way up to 140mph.
