Kia’s incoming new Sorento is scheduled to make its public debut in South Korea next month (August 2014), and the brand has released a teaser image to build excitement before its reveal.
The visual confirms design elements already announced by the manufacturer, including the low roofline and higher waist, plus larger shoulders at the rear to add a muscular look. The front carries over the distinctive ‘tiger nose’ grill seen on previous Kias, and overall the vehicle shares many similarities with its sister car the Hyundai Santa Fe.
The model represents the only seven-seater crossover SUV in the manufacturer’s line-up, and much of its appeal comes from an affordable price tag plus stylish design and strong performance. With four-wheel drive capability, the incoming vehicle is capable in all conditions, and it’s sure to appeal greatly to family motorists and business travellers with refined output.
The third-generation Sorento will appear first in Europe at the Paris Motor Show held in October, ahead of UK sales in spring 2015. The SUV is expected to be top of the list for many drivers looking to upgrade to a new crossover, as the segment continues to grow in popularity. The assurance of a seven-year warranty from Kia lifts the carmaker above many of its rivals, and the new Sorento - like all others in the range - will come with this pioneering cover.
