The New Kia Rio a Supermini with Style and Safety at its Heart

Kia's popular supermini, the Kia Rio has been redesigned to give car buyers who are looking for style, quality and value more options. The Rio features a new updated exterior design along with a smart new interior and a raft of new equipment.

First revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the Kia Rio has been redesigned to give it a sharper, sportier appearance. The front and rear bumpers have both been reshaped along with the lower front air intake which sits below the smart new front grille. The front fog lights are also new and feature dynamic twin chromed horizontal bars. At the rear of the car the bumper has a new design that incorporates a stylish new number plate strip.

The new styling continues on the inside of the Kia Rio, the cabin has a quality interior that features new high-gloss black embellishments on the centre fascia. Inside the Grade 1 and 1 Air variants the upholstery has been styled in a new black cloth, while Grade 2 and 3 have a premium black cloth. The Grade 4 variant continues to be styled in black leather with faux leather sections.

The new Kia Rio is not only more stylish it is also more technologically advanced; models 3 and 4 have a 7-inch touchscreen satellite navigation system, while a DAB digital radio is standard across all models. The new Kia Rio now also has electrically adjusted and heated door mirrors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Kia are known for providing reliable and efficient vehicles and the new Rio is no different, it comes with a range of four efficient petrol and diesel engines including the 1.1-litre three-cylinder CRDi which has a very impressive fuel economy of more than 74mpg and CO2 figures below 100g/km. Safety is always is paramount to Kia and all new Rio models feature the same standard of safety including Electronic Stability Control, Emergency Brake Assist, and Hill-Start Assist Control. Inside the car there are twin, side and curtain airbags and two ISOFIX child seat anchors.
