Lexus new car sales in the UK see biggest increase in seven years, and their success looks set to continue into 2015
Latest figures released by Lexus show new car sales in the UK increased by more than 28% last year making it their most successful year since 2007. A total of 11,572 vehicles were sold in 2014 with the IS Saloon doubling its sales figure from last year. Notably the hybrid IS 300h has been the most popular with 90% of IS model sold in the UK being hybrid variants.
Lexus look set to follow on from last year's success this year with the launch of the new NX, the brand's first ever crossover model. Also being launched this year will be the stunning Lexus RC F which is set to be one of their most high performance cars to date. The RC F is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine and can reach top speeds of 1686mph. The RC F will be available in UK showrooms from February, while the Lexus NX 200t will be launched later this year. Lexus have already sold around 1,000 NX 300h hybrids and are hoping the new NX 200t, the first model to use Lexus's new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be as popular with UK drivers.
