New Lexus Hybrid 2+2 Sport Concept

16th January 2012

phpfPpgMHLexus have just revealed their new concept car, a hybrid 2+2 sport coupe, at the North American International Auto Show.  The LF-LC concept will be showcased on the 22nd January, representing the future design of Lexus.

This difficult challenge to design a future, hybrid sport coupe concept was achieved with emotive, advanced technology and exquisiteness, whilst within reach for premium buyers.

Kevin Hunter, president of Calty, the Lexus design studio, said, “Our entire studio worked to develop this beautiful interpretation of Lexus originality …The LF-LC concept embodies our vision of what a premium sport coupe could be.”

The new design incorporates the signature Lexus spindle grille and rear architecture, with new dynamic angles to create a distinctive style.  Daytime running lights are shaped in an “L” with vertical fog lamps operating a dot matrix pattern giving the feeling of movement.

Lexus have opted for a greenhouse design with a lightweight glass roof, a rising kick-up window graphic and polished aluminium trim, giving the driver more visibility.

The interior boasts of advanced technology with soft textures and organic shapes giving a more driver focused cockpit.  The new Lexus concept also uses remote screen technology to allow the driver to operate the controls without changing their line of sight.   With 12.3 inch LCD screens providing information and navigation display, the touch screen controls the audio system, climate control and navigation.

The LF-LC front engine, rear wheel drive operates on Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, producing driving performance and fuel efficiency.
