Nissan’s all-stars challenge the Nürburgring 24 Hours

On June 21 and 22, 2014, a line-up of star Nissan race drivers from around the world will attempt the iconic Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race.

With an all-star team and a roster of high-performance GT-R NISMO GT3 cars, Nissan is making its largest ever attack of the Nürburgring in recent years. The driver team is comprised of previous lap record holders, 24 Hours winners and graduates of the Nissan GT Academy.

A part of Nissan GT-R models will return to where the manufacturer set the lap record for a full volume production car. They’re numbered 30 and 80, paying homage to the anniversaries of NISMO and Nissan respectively. The 80 car will be driven by Nick Heidfeld, last year’s victor Florian Strauss, Lucas Ordonez and Alex Buncombe, with Michael Krumm, Kazuki Hoshino, Katsumasa Chiyo and Tetsuya Tanaka taking turns in the 30 car.

The 2014 Nürburgring 24 Hours begins on June 21 with qualifying stages.

You can experience the road version of the new Nissan GT-R with a test drive at Charles Hurst. Contact any of our three authorised Nissan dealerships in Belfast, Newtownards and Chimney Corner, Newtownabbey.
