Toyota's first fully hybrid MPV, the new Prius Plus is one of the most fuel efficient cars in its class. Combining stylish design, a spacious interior and smart technology, this innovative vehicle is the intuitive choice for active families.
With its bold styling and sweeping roofline, the Prius Plus retains the distinctive Prius design while offering an extra 80mm in length to accommodate passengers in complete comfort. A wide front grille and rear roof spoiler improve aerodynamic performance and the slanted headlights add to the streamlined appearance. The new Prius has 17" alloy wheels (10-spoke), Privacy glass rear windows and a Rear light guide (LED type).
The Prius Plus' clever seating arrangement is highly flexible with independently folding seats in the second row and a tiered format to make the best use of space. The boot is also generous, offering up to 784 litres so you can accommodate any combination of passengers and luggage.
The modern interior of the new Prius Plus includes a number of high-tech features including an entertainment system - twin DVD players, front and rear power windows, Toyota Touch® 2 multimedia system, 6.1" Multimedia Display and coloured TFT multi-information display. The practical features include a 4-spoke leather steering wheel, cruise control and adaptive cruise control (ACC), a light cut-off reminder and sliding rear seats.
The new Prius Plus also features a multi-information display switch on steering wheel, head up display, hybrid energy display, hybrid system indicator and rear-view camera display. This range of modern and sophisticated interior features makes journeys in the new Prius Plus comfortable and enjoyable.
The new Toyota Prius Plus has hushed electric power which makes the drive quieter and more relaxing. The electric power works with the efficient petrol-power at higher speeds and both engines can work in tandem – to power you ahead.
Unsurprisingly, fuel efficiency is the Prius Plus' trump card. While being versatile for family activities, it returns up to 68.9mpg on the combined cycle and emits as little as 96g/km of CO2. That means more miles between fuel stops and no road tax, but not a compromise on performance.
Around town, the MPV is capable and confident with light steering and great manoeuvrability that make it easy to park and slip through traffic. On the open road, it remains poised with good body control and a smooth ride.
Two trim levels are available on the Toyota Prius Plus, each of which offers plenty of standard features. The T4 variant comes with a panoramic sunroof that allows light to flood into the cabin, a reversing camera for easier parking, alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity and a touchscreen multimedia system.
Upgrade to the T Spirit trim and leather upholstery, an upgraded stereo and satellite navigation are all available.
As a family car, the Prius Plus takes safety seriously. Stability control and brake assist come as standard and Hill-start Assist Control prevents the vehicle rolling backwards when pulling away on an incline.
Inside the car, the head-up display allows drivers to see information such as speed, fuel efficiency and current hybrid mode while keeping their eyes on the road and whiplash restraints and seat belts with pre-tensioners and force limiters offer protection in case of a collision.
