Aston Martin’s bold return to the Nürburgring

6th June 2014

The Aston Martin Racing team will be taking a race-tuned V12 Vantage GT3 to this year’s ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hours later in the month (June 2014).
Sporting highly distinctive and attractive Bilstein blue and yellow livery, the model also bears Castrol Edge branding. It ranked in the top ten during a preparatory race in March, having qualified in second position last year and led the pack for ten hours out of 24. Torrential rain and fog put paid to the manufacturer’s aspirations, as the race was suspended for a further nine hours.
Aston Martin has raced a selection of its high-performance cars at the legendary Nürburgring since 2006, using the tough and unforgiving circuit to put vehicles through their paces.
Impressively the V12 is not the only Aston Martin taking on the endurance race challenge. In different car classes, two race-prepared V8 Vantage N430 cars and a close-to-production V12 will also be seeking victories.
The ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hours takes place on June 21, so watch this space for the results. In the meantime you can experience the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and the V12 Vantage S at Charles Hurst – get in touch with our Belfast dealership team to arrange a test drive.
