TAS Racing, owned and run by Philip Neill, continue their association with title partner Tyco Security Products, but change manufacturer's this year, and join with BMW Motorrad to become the German manufacturer's Official entry in the MCE British Superbike Championship. Rider wise, it's a formidable pairing that the Northern Ireland based team have signed for the British Superbikes. Namely Tommy Bridewell, who last year had his best season to date, placing third overall, including scoring his maiden Superbike victory at Cadwell Park, coupled with the returning Michael Laverty, who has spent the last two seasons in Moto GP. Into his seventh consecutive BSB year, but his first with the TAS set up, Bridewell is no stranger to BMW power, having reached the end of season 'Showdown Phase' on one in 2012, and should be a good bet to make it through to the 'Showdown'. Whilst Laverty, a rider of real quality and former British Supersport Champion with the TAS team in 2007 has already gained 7 BSB race wins prior to his Moto GP exploits. Knows the tracks and will definitely be 'on the pace' from the very outset, and is also a strong candidate to secure a place in the 'Showdown' Phase. Tyco BMW will also be running former British Supersports & Superstock Champion in this years National Superstock Series, along with 'TV personality' Guy Martin & William Dunlop who will continue to contest the major roads events
