Active City Brake is an automatic urban braking system that helps to prevent low-speed collisions. It includes:
A new automatic braking technology using sensors mounted on the windscreen that constantly measure the distance to the vehicle in front and the rate at which this distance reduces. During urban driving at speeds of less than 20mph, the sensors calculate if this distance is reducing too quickly for you to come to a safe stop. If this is the case, the Active City Brake technology will provide braking in order to avoid a collision with the car in front.
