At Charles Hurst Group we have over 20 Electric and Hybrid vehicles available on the Motability Scheme.
As well as being better for the environment, Hybrid and Electric cars are usually more fuel efficient which means low running costs for users.
You can choose from a variety of 'Greener' vehicles.
Hybrid vehicles have a combination of an electric motor and standard combustion engine to reduce vehicle emissions.
Self Charging Hybrids don't need to be plugged in. You just need to keep them topped up with Fuel and the battery is charged when the car coasts and brakes for example. You can drive on average 50% of the time in electric with a self charging Hybrid and the car decides which fuel to use at the best time for your journey.
Plug-in hybrid vehicles are hybrid vehicles, whose batteries can be recharged by plugging into a charging point. You can drive these vehicles without charging them but they won't be utilising the electric element of the engine.
Electric vehicles are the ultimate eco-friendly choice as they have zero exhaust emissions. However, as they have to be recharged regularly, they are not suitable for everyone. Electric cars can travel a certain distance before needing to be recharged and in order to have a home charging point fitted, you will need to have access to off-road parking, such as a private driveway or garage.
