In a continuing successful year for Peugeot, the new 308 has been
named as the 'Best New Car' during the 2014 Fleet World Honours and the
Bipper is the 'Best Light Van'.
The awards recognise the appeal and suitability of cars for fleet and business motorists. Peugeot has also enjoyed increased sales of its light commercial vehicles for 2014 so far, up by 52 percent year-on-year for the first quarter alone.
A lighter build, stylish body and technological enhancements have ensured the new 308 the award, and it's offered with a more efficient selection of PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel engines. CO2 emissions from only 82g/km lower the business running costs, and as a five-door car or the robust SW the new-generation 308 claims class-leading interior space.
As for the Bipper, it continues to demonstrate the high reliability that business drivers need. Compact yet deceptively spacious on the inside, the van is a previous award winner and claims a high maximum payload with economical running. It shares the title with 'sister' vans from Citroën and Fiat.
