will be present at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed held from
June 26 to 29, and attendees can look forward to witnessing a number of
exciting developments from the brand.
The highlight of Peugeot's stand will be its stunning new 2008 DKR, an imposing and aggressive off-roader created for the 2015 Dakar Rally. Goodwood will be the car's European debut, and its appearance at the event marks a return to Dakar after 25 years. The French brand will team up with Red Bull and Total to tackle the 10,000km marathon in January 2015.
Joining the 2008 DKR will be a series of products highlighting Peugeot's design prowess outside the motoring world. The Peugeot Design Lab ONYX sofa will be showcased, after it made an appearance at the 2014 Milan Design Week in April. Further homewares on show from the carmaker include spice and coffee mill concepts alongside artistic sculptures.
The ONYX sofa does have its roots in motorsport, as it was inspired by Peugeot's ONYX superbike, supertrike and supercar created in 2012. The product combines volcanic stone and carbon fibre to bring together old and new, and took the design team 70 days to craft.
A number of future models and concepts will also be present at Goodwood, including the RCZ R Sports Coupé, new 308, new 108 Top! Cabrio, the Exalt and 308 R concepts, and the 208 GTi Prestige.
