Road tax is changing

Find out more about how road tax will be affected and how you can save hundreds of pounds

What is changing?

From 1st April 2017, road tax will be increasing by £140 as a standard rate on all vehicles per year, with an additional charge of £310 for any vehicles worth over £40,000. Further details can be found on the government new vehicle tax rates page.

How will this impact me?

Road tax needs to be paid out annually over a 3-year PCP contract, which could mean you'll be paying out hundreds of pounds. However, this only applies to cars bought and registered after 1st April 2017; therefore there is still time to avoid this road tax increase by registering your new vehicle before 1st April 2017.

What models will be affected?

All Toyota vehicles will fall under the road tax increase and the rates are calculated on a car's CO2 emissions (g/km). See the table below to understand more about individual charges per model/engine:

Terms and conditions

Road Tax changes apply to all vehicles registered on or after the 1st April 2017. Amount quoted shows the cost saving for Yaris Icon 3 door 1.0 VVT-i Manual over a 3 year period, £120 in the first year and £280 in the following 2 years. Delays in vehicle delivery or any other element of the purchase will impact the cost saving if vehicle registration occurs after 1st April 2017
