BRAKE FLUID

Get an additional 15% Discount on Brake Fluid when Sold with a Timing Belt

At Charles Hurst Land Rover we know how important it is to keep your vehicle in peak condition. Changing your brake fluid is required for all Land Rovers every 3 years/45,000 miles.

Why is Brake Fluid Important?

Brake fluid plays a crucial role as when a driver presses the brake pedal, the fluid transfers the force created directly onto the wheel hub. The boiling point your brake fluid rises to be critical to efficient braking the brake fluid can only work if it is liquid and not so hot that it has become vapour. Brake fluid also serves as a lubricant of all movable parts and it also prevents corrosion. Braking systems can achieve long service and optimal performance when the brake fluid is compatible with rubber deals and hoses.

Why would Brake Fluid Deteriorate?

Brake fluid absorbs moisture during its life in your car (through pipes, hoses and joints). As this water content in the brake fluid increases the temperature the liquid boils to decreases. The 'wetter' (more contaminated with water) that your brake fluid is, the less effective it becomes.

At Charles Hurst Land Rover we recommend that you get your A/C serviced and a Re-Gas every 2 years/45,000 miles to ensure your vehicle is kept in peak condition..

Why is your A/C so Important?

For your A/C system to work correctly it needs to be free from leaks so that the refrigerant stays in the system. Contamination over time can appear and affect the cooling performance of your A/C car system.

COOLANT CHANGE

Get an additional 15% Discount on your Coolant Change when sold with a Timing Belt Replacement

At Charles Hurst Land Rover we recommend that you get your Coolant Changed 3 years/45,000 miles to ensure your vehicle is kept in peak condition.

Why is Coolant Important?

The coolant in a car’s cooling system needs to be inspected every so often to protect against corrosion. If there is no coolant too much heat is produced through the constant internal combustion which destroys the engine.

Water is not enough to keep the system cool and over time will evaporate entirely. Antifreeze is important to mix into your coolant system as water will freeze in very cold weather if your car sits idle for a length of time.
