I have used Charles Hurst QuickFit on two previous occasions to have tyres fitted to my motorcycle and on both occasions the service was carried out without any issues. The staff were helpful, the work was done correctly, and I had no reason to complain. However, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing and has left me questioning the consistency and professionalism of the service being offered. I phoned this morning to enquire about fitting new tyres on the same bike that has been serviced there before – an Indian Roadmaster, which is a large touring motorcycle. Instead of any constructive discussion, I was simply told that I would need to “bring the bike down so they can see if they can lift it,” before they would even consider booking the work in. What makes this particularly frustrating is that the bike has already been there previously for the exact same job, and tyres were fitted without any issue at all. When I pointed this out, there was no explanation given as to why this has suddenly become a problem. The response was dismissive and repetitive – essentially just “bring it down” – with no effort made to understand or address my concern. Considering I live 30 miles away, it is unreasonable to expect me to make a round trip purely for an assessment of something that has already been done there before. It feels like a complete lack of continuity in service and a lack of willingness to assist a returning customer. Even more disappointing was the tone of the conversation. There was no real customer service, no explanation, and no attempt to offer solutions or alternatives. Simply a rigid refusal to engage beyond “we need to see it first,” despite prior experience with the same motorcycle. Overall, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing. When a business has successfully completed work before, it should not become more difficult for a returning customer to receive the same service again. At the very least, clear communication and basic customer care should remain consistent – and on this occasion, it was not.

I bought a new Yamaha MT-07 from Alex Morgan. This started as a speculative chat about another bike and we had to go through a number of finance options and quotes but Alex was happy to assist. He gave honest objective advice and on collection day, gave a thorough explanation of the electronics which were all new to me. A few days later he sent a follow-up email to see how things were going. A very good experience, recommended.
