Determined to create a powerful new look for the latest NX, our designers developed a more dynamic grille with an integrated frame. Contributing to weight reduction, the design emphasises the car’s dynamic presence. The striking vertical grille, combined with triple slits at the bottom, provides enhanced cooling, while the ultra-slim LED headlights underline the Lexus L-motif daytime running lights.
Viewed from the side, the NX fuses sharpness with emotional appeal. Its surface design combines precise edges with expansive, curved panels, creating a sense of high-quality precision alongside a warm, sensuous feel. The wheelbase conveys a low centre of gravity and excellent balance with 18” or 20” wheels.
The NX proportions and dynamic character have been evolved to merge glamour with sharpness, emphasised by a high-tech rear design. The elongated LED light bar is a hallmark of Lexus Electrified design, its minimalist form suggesting simplicity and precision, reinforced by the distinctive new Lexus badge.
An exceptionally fast, responsive remote-controlled tailgate offers convenience when your arms are full. With the key in your pocket, simply place your foot under the rear bumper to open or close it in one smooth motion. Inspired by Japanese Shoji doors, the NX’s E-Latch door release system lets doors open gracefully. Available on selected grades only.

The NX is available as a Plug-in Hybrid or Self-Charging Hybrid, both of which boast economic and efficient performance. Our Plug-in Hybrid has a pure-electric range of up to 44 miles** when it has been charged. When the battery runs low on longer journeys, the NX will seamlessly switch to our Self-Charging Hybrid technology. There is no need to plug-in the NX Self-Charging Hybrid which switches between using electric energy and a blend of petrol and electric power to optimise performance.
