The all-electric Lotus Evija hypercar. The most powerful car to enter series production, and the epitome of our philosophy. Sculpted porosity masters airflow to deliver out-of-this-world performance and road handling.
Performance and technology go hand-in-hand, with four-wheel torque vectoring, advanced stability control, and a state-of-the-art digital cockpit, designed around the driver.
Lotus Evija. A statement of automotive excellence.
At its top speed, 5,680 litres of air move through the two venturi tunnels each second. This helps Evija generate an incredible 1680 kg of downforce.
The F1-style bi-plane front splitter generates class-leading front end grip, providing an agile turn in as well as sustained cornering grip under high aerodynamic load.
Coupled with the addition of active aero, Evija is the most aerodynamically advanced car we have produced, and also in its segment as a BEV hypercar.
With four independently controlled wheels, the Evija can make use of both on and off-throttle torque vectoring, meaning the car can counter rotate wheels on the inside of a corner in order to rotate faster, increasing the cornering agility at low speed corners such as hairpins and chicanes.
Engineered for precise and sustained performance Evija has 5 drive modes - Range, City, Tour, Sport and Track.
Enabled by electricity. Developments made possible by years of pioneering heritage. Forged by British engineering, created for the drivers.
As usable around town as it is on the track, the Evija is designed for everyday use. When it looks this good it would be criminal not to show it off.
The interior of the Lotus Evija is as dramatic as the exterior. Inspired by the technical precision of race car engineering, the dominant characteristic of the cabin is the ‘floating wing’ dashboard which can be glimpsed from outside through the windscreen.
Further controls are located on the floating ‘ski slope-style’ centre console, which features touch-sensitive haptic feedback buttons. Each is integrated in hexagonal recesses to help guide the driver’s fingers.
A premium infotainment system is fitted as standard. Customers can seamlessly integrate their smartphones via Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, accessing their own music and navigation.
State-of-the-art digital display, providing the driver with key information such as mode, battery charge and remaining range.
The design of the steering wheel, similar to that found in an LMP or F1™ car, further reinforces the Evija’s sporting intentions. The outer ring is finished in Alcantara as standard with leather available as an option.
Introducing the Evija Fittipaldi, a tribute to one of the greatest car-and-driver pairings that Formula 1 has ever seen.
The bespoke specification starts with its unique paint finish, which includes its designation written on the body work in gold lettering to the side of the rear window. Complementing it are black and gold ‘Type 72’ wheels complete with anodized centre lock surrounds – red on the left side of the car and green on the right – as well as black and gold brake callipers.
Decals that celebrate the Type 72’s race victories from the 1972 season are presented on the active rear wing, while a number 8 has been applied to the B-pillar. Fittipaldi raced with that number on his car during the 1972 season, including for his win at the British Grand Prix. A carbon and gold Lotus nose badge completes the exterior styling.
Inside, the theme of luxury and bespoke design continues. Black leather interior with gold contrast stitching can be found throughout the cabin, along with exclusive roof liner stitching, plus gold finishes to the air vent surrounds, centre rotary dial, start/stop button and pedals.

* The vehicle specifications detailed on this page are target specifications based upon simulations. We have carried out thousands of hours of computer modelling, dynamic simulation and engineering development that has contributed to the target specifications and we have a strong degree of confidence that as the prototype vehicles progress through their programmes, the target specifications will be met and, in some cases, surpassed. All customers who have placed an order for Evija will be kept up-to-date with the development programme and invited to view its progress first hand where suitable.
These figures are target figures assuming the battery has been fully charged. The Evjia is a battery electric vehicle requiring mains electricity for charging. The target electric range shown is based upon simulated results for the WLTP test procedure. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the starting charge of the battery, options fitted, variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load.
