An automatic transmission will manage gear changes on behalf of the driver. Automatic Cars often referred to as an 'Automatic' or 'Auto', do not contain a clutch pedal, making them more straightforward to operate as a driver.
Many customers choose an automatic as it allows the driver to concentrate on navigating the road and managing their journey. This is due to users of automatic vehicles not being required to think about when to change gear, and don’t have to wrestle with finding “the biting point” of the clutch and acceleration at the right moment.
Another difference is the Gear leaver layout:
P (parking) – R (reverse) – N (neutral) – D (drive) – 2 (2nd gear) – 1 (1st gear).
While it may take some practice to drive an automatic car – keeping in mind that only one foot is required to control the brake and accelerator – many actually prefer the driving experience of an Automatic Transmission Vehicle.

No communication at all, even when collection of the car was say Thursday by the end of Thursday no communication and no car I had emailed them asking about the collection that day and no reply then i had to go up the next day for information to then be told car wasn't ready, by the actual time of collection feels like the car was just rushed didn't even look like it was clean, between viewing the car and picking the car up it had been damaged (chipped windscreen in multiple places and impact mark on the bonnet) emailed them, then after waiting 12 days of no communication i had to go in to ask what's going on then being told someone will be in touch the next day and suprise not a thing I then had to email them again days later to finally get in touch with someone about the faults, the impact mark repair was suggested to be a touch up pen by the staff which is hiding the damage not repairing it, there have been multiple failures coming up on the dash and a knocking/ banging coming from the front left but when test driving the car none of these faults were present, I was told of an arm being replaced and when asking which arm after hearing the knocking the replay was I don't know, i also asked about the car being serviced I was told it was going to be but I'm unsure it was as it's asking on the dash to be serviced in August 2025 of last year I had to check make sure the time and date was correct in the car in an email I asked about this but again no reply of any kind just passed on to the next person to arrange car being looked at for the faults, also I asked about a spare tire I was assured the car came with a tire foam kit apon looking for the foam kit it has neither glad I didn't get a flat before checking, I don't think I would buy from them again, and now my wife wants to change her car and mentioned going there to have a look I told her to look elsewhere.
The worst customer service ever. I am still waiting on a call back from service department and manager regarding the treatment. Furthermore no one has contacted me about warranty work that I was informed needed to be carried out and needed to be book. I telephoned two days after service to get an invoice (which hadn’t been sent) and to speak to service department - i left my number with two people but nether have called. Now going to raise a complaint.
Year old car went in for its first service which was hugely expensive. Arrived on time explained only the back tyre needs pumped up and left. Got a call to collect around 1.30pm. Car was fine. and oh my goodness the rudest young woman of all time ignored me was on their reception - not a single word/ no casual chat/invite to have a coffee/explanation about what she was looking at on screen. I waited being ignored for approximately 15 mins. Eventually she printed out the report and passed me the card machine. Not thanks for your customer service, do call again etc. etc. makes me cross that I paid to be treated as though I didn’t exist. I left saying I hope your day improves - I can only guess it had been rubbish to reduce her to deliver such appalling treatment
